| Description | Paper gives a brief chronological overview of history teaching in elementary schools in the Czechoslovakia between 1948 and 1989 in terms of the changes that have gone through the basic curricula documents. In particular, paper focuses on the education system, school legislation of the observed period, school types and their changes. Attention is also paid to discussions on the form of the documents in educational journals. |
