| Description | The study discusses the motivation of Czech learners to learn German as a second foreign language. In two introductory chapters, the motivation in the field of foreign language learning and teaching, as well as the current situation of foreign language teaching in the Czech Republic is discussed shortly. Thereafter, a pilot study examining the motives of Czech learners for learning German as a second foreign language is presented. This pilot study was part of a research project (GAP407/11/0321) in which multilingualism in the Czech Republic was examined with a special focus on learning German as a second foreign language. |
