| Description | The center of gravity of speech therapy provided in the resort of labor and social affairs lies in the development of communication skills for persons with disabilities, which are manifest difficulties in the communication process caused by the presence of symptomatic speech disorders. Current speech theory and practice highlights the need for adequate access to stimulate communication skills of individuals with various disabilities, but also adds that speech intervention in social services remains a major challenge special education for the 21st century. This chapter summarizes the results of surveys carried out between 2012 and 2013, whose main objective was to analyze the status of the speech therapy to persons who living in social services in the Czech Republic. |
