Description | This seminar is designed to provide PhD students and novice scientists in the area of nanochemistry and nanotechnology with an opportunity to take their scientific writing skills in English to a higher level. It is supposed to act as a guide that presents the basic writing skills required to successfully publish and communicate in the international world of science and research. The seminar combines a block session and individual consultations, during which the participants learn and practice typical features of academic writing, such as academic writing style, structural parts of a research article and their characteristics, text composition, sentence structure, paragraphing, titles, formal/informal register, vocabulary, grammar or academic integrity. The seminar participants are expected to actively participate and write and critically assess academic texts. |
