Description The chapter deals with symptomatic speech disorders as a category of communication disorders occurring in individuals with mental and combined disabilities. The study is focused on the speech intervention in social services in the Czech Republic, persons aged younger adulthood and analyzes support their social inclusion realized in strengthening communication skills of users homes for persons with disabilities. Through data obtained from the effected quantitatively oriented anonymous survey with related qualitative elements are presented partial results of two-stage studies of the state of speech therapy in homes for persons with disabilities and of approach of institution managers to implement special education support in the context of the development of communication skills of users.
