Description | Pathogenic microorganism Borrelia burgdorferi sl (Bbsl) is the most common cause of zoonotic diseases in the Czech Republic (the average number of patients for the last 10 years is 3941), diseases transmitted from animals to humans through vectors (e.g. ticks). In this work we deal with the possible occurrence of these pathogens in small rodents and insectivores in selected locations in the Czech Republic (CHKO Moravský kras, CHKO Poodří and Mohelno). As the sample was used serum and blood-caught rodents. To detect the presence of IgG and IgM antibodies against antigens of the pathogen was used ELISA (Enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay) as a whole-cell sonicated mixed and recombinant antigens (company TestLine, Brno). All results were statistically analyzed. In 2012, 258 were captured rodents of the genus Apodemus and Clethrionomys in 2013 were captured 95 rodents and insectivores of the genus Apodemus, Sorex, Microtus, Clethrionomys and Talpa. In 2012 antibodies (ELISA whole-cell antigen) IgG 6.64%, 13.85% IgM; 2013 0% positive IgG, IgM 2.2%. In cooperation with TestLine test samples were positive for antibodies against the recombinant Bbsl Ag (TestLine) and whole cell Ag (OFIŽ). We compared the positive and borderline positive samples. While the results of 2012 almost matched in 2013 ELISA with whole-cell antigen did not reflect the large number of positive samples. After comparing the sensitivity of whole-cell or recombinant antigen was Bbsl samples from the 2013 ELISA with recombinant antigen sensitive and accurate. At all locations, the rodents involved in the life cycle of Borrelia burgdorferi sl. |
