Description | Eysarcoris ventralis (Westwood, 1837) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae: Pentatominae: Eysarcorini) is a rare species of true bug in Slovakia, where according to available literature, it has only been recorded on ten occasions. Here we add one old unpublished record, and 18 new records from 14 localities in Slovakia. All records are reviewed and mapped, and the distribution of E. ventralis in Slovakia and neighbouring countries is discussed. Records of E. ventralis from the Czech Republic are shown to be erroneous, and the species is removed from the list of the Czech fauna. |
