Description | The aim of this keynote lecture was to present and interpret the relationship between the iconography of paintings in Austerlitz chateau and the function of the respective room in question. Using the example of decorated rooms in Austerlitz my aim was to show three layers of spatiality that were formed by the functions of an early modern residence: Gender, Private vs. public and Decorum. |
