Description Based on extensive studies of archival materials, this scientific study gives a picture of Czechoslovak sugar industry in the early post-war years. First the approaches the situation during World War I. and the dominant postion of the sugar industry in the Czech lands during the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which was singificantly oriented towards export. Bound and state-controlled economy continued in Czechoslovakia until 1921. In detail we describe the main trende in the Czechoslovak sugar industry, which was again second ij the export of sugar. After the unified (1921), the sugar industry began do function in our market economy.
