Description Self-organisation exhibits itself as e.g. striations and ionisation waves in low pressure discharges, microlament distribution in dielectric barrier discharges or regular filament patterns in atmospheric plasma jets. The self-organising itself is caused by combination of many factors - electromagnetic forces, thermal gradients, flow phenomena, pressure waves etc. This poster investigates the self-organisation of filamentary atmospheric pressure RF jet in noble gases. Most noble gases exhibit a contraction of plasma column forming the laments. Although the process of self-organisation is essentially the same,it should be influenced by the dierent properties of Ne, Ar and Kr, e.g. ionisation potential or thermal conductivity.
