| Description | In this text we focus on the analysis of selected aspects of social policy, especially labour market policy in the Czech Republic during 2008 to 2012 years in order to identify whether this policy approximates to employment-friendly model, or whether it reflects more elements typical for employment-enforcing model. Firstly, we analyze the Government's declarations that reveal the intentions of Czech government in field of public and social policy. Subsequently, we perform discourse analysis, which served for the legitimacy of Government´s intentions in media at the beginning of 2012. Changes in social policy, which affected Czech labour market and their "viability" are discussed in the third part of this chapter. We are interested primarily in changes that are apparent in the form of both components of the employment policy - in the active employment policy measures and also in the system receive compensation during unemployment. Furthermore, we include the area of harmonization of work and family, which contributes to employment growth and social inclusion of labour force. In conclusion, we discuss the overall findings and verify whether and to what extent social policy in the CR fulfil key criteria of employment-friendly model. |
