Description The aim of the study is to identify psychological predictors of work behaviour changes – to find out the necessary, facilitating and inhibitory factors of changes. The ability to change employee’s behaviour is crucial for many organizations. That is the reason why competency models used in personnel selection and development contain such competencies like „openness to new experience“, „adaptability“, „flexibility“ or „innovativeness“. Even in the case of employees with intention to change their work behaviour, it is common that the changes are not implemented or sustained. We explored the influence of attitudes, subjective norms and perceived control over the behaviour on formation of intentions to make a change. The content analysis of semi-structured interviews with nine middle managers revealed the most important factors. The results are usable for following quantitative research.
