| Description | The text analyzes the frequency and relevance of the themes of postage stamps related to a given historical period with regard to didactic and methodological aspects of their application in educational process. Postage stamps are, like other visual media, also historical source reflecting especially modern, in this case the world history. Using activities associated with the analysis of the motives of postage stamps of the Cold war period, it is possible, within the history teaching, to give an idea and explain not only historical events, but also, for example, the mechanism of propaganda and anti-propaganda. The described procedure arises effective alternative educational media that strengthens mainly the interdisciplinary cooperation of school history - media education. The annotated visual medium is not yet sufficiently processed in Czech educational literature, or applied in teaching practice. |
