| Description | The textbook approaches topics and knowledge which are related to organization and operation of public administration, as well as to fulfillment of its functions and tasks in a modern European state. The textbook does so especially, but not only, for the purposes of teaching and studying at fakulty of law. It clarifies the purpose of studying (and researching) public administration in a broader context, aimed at the substantial aspects of public administration and at the standards that public administration should comply with. The textbook also provides knowledge and an experience base for continuous evaluation, and analysis of the efficiency of the whole system, its parts, and its fundamental aspects, as well as it brings a recommendations frame for their improvement. In addition to traditional areas (such as principles of organization and operation, personal aspect of public administration, decision-making, public property and public goods), the textbook brings knowledge and ideas to consider: reforms of public administration, the European context, the principles of good administration, the ethics, the transparency and the informatization of public administration. |
