| Description | The contribution deals with the issue of the use of pedagogical translation in English language teaching in relation to prospective teachers’ education. With regard to the results of a questionnaire-based survey, which showed that this technique is frequently used, we ask how this fact is reflected in the education of prospective English teachers. |
