| Description | The historical review dealing with the development of ortoptic care as an distinct speciality in the region of east Bohemia is based on critical analysis of the personal memories of contemporary witnesses. The text describes spiral development typical for the ortoptics in the central Europe in past four decades. The begining of out-patients treatments in seventies, the opening of ortoptic department enabling the intensive therapy during long children's hospitalisation without parents in eighties, the modernisation of the department in nineties as well as the final transformation back to out-patients regimen in the beginning of new millennia. |
