Description | Support of the sport at regional and municipal level has a long tradition in the Czech Republic. The principle of subsidiarity enables development of a broad spectrum of grant systems and principles including different level implementation of e-government principles. Transparency of allocation of public grants is the topic of the day in many European countries. Nowadays we consider a publishing of relevant information on websites as inseparable part of the transparency. Although it is generally expected that all important information will be available on the regional websites it is not always truth and approaches to publish information vary among regions. The aim of the paper is to investigate how regional self-governments publish information on sport policy, particularly grants. We surveyed information accessible at the websites of 13 Czech regions (Prague was excluded from the survey) |
