| Description | This publication analyzes the decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union relating to the interpretation of terms used in the Brussels Ibis Regulation (resp. Brussels Convention and the Brussels I Regulation), in the area of jurisdiction of the courts of the Member States of the European Union in civil and commercial matters. To understand evolution of interpretation of particular term is necessary for the deepening integration within the EU, as manifested particularly in the area of judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters. This publication is intended not only for research and theoretical teaching purposes, for students and lecturers, but also for practitioners - lawyers, judges and others who deal with disputes with the international (cross-border) element and the question of the determination of international jurisdiction of courts. |
