Description | The e-learning material of Clinical Kinesiology I aims to provide sufficient information concerning the issue of the kinesiology of the lower extremity. It deals with the functions of individual motion segments both on the local and global level, defines individual factors of the active and passive stability and familiarizes students with the clinical aspects of the functional as well as structural pathology. Important sections of the material include the chapter on Gait which offers a biomechanical explanation as well as an overview of various types of gait, and the chapter on Chaining of muscle activity and functional disorders. Drawing primarily on the information from the field of Anatomy, Kinesiology, Neurophysiology and Biomechanics, the content of the material is expected to serve as a theoretical basis to be used in practical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the context of the courses of Fundamentals of Diagnostics and Therapy of Locomotor System Disorders I-IV. |
