Description In the Basics of the Diagnostics and Therapy of the Functional Disorders of the Musculoskeletal System IV course, students will gain palpation skills and they will deepen their knowledge in palpation anatomy, diagnostics and targeted therapy in relation to temporomandibular joint and masticatory muscles. The emphasis during the course is put on practical skills. As a part of the therapy of reflex changes in the masticatory muscles, the technique of post isometric relaxation is introduced. The contents of learning also concentrate on the targeted examination of functional blockages on the sternocostal and vertebrocostal joints with subsequent treatment and execution of mobilisation techniques which lead to restauration of joint play. Emphasis is also put on the targeted pelvis diagnostics with subsequent execution of mobilisation techniques.
