Description | The main focus of this chapter is to look at cyberbullying phenomena from an international perspective and try to capture the national/cultural differences. The first section deals with crossnational differences in cyberbullying prevalence rates. The second section deals with variances in the definitions and perceptions of cyberbullying across nations/cultures. In the third section, the roles of independent/interdependent selfconstrual and femininity/masculinity as potential indicators of cultural variance and their associations with cyberbullying/cybervictimization are discussed along with empirical findings. |
