Description The paper maps occurrence of electoral violence in the region of Central and Eastern Europe in the period of 2000 to 2010. On the basis of multi-case comparison we identify three categories of violence-prone environments where the electoral violence took place. The final argument stresses that electoral violence is not reserved only to autocratic regimes and conflict-ridden societies but may occur also in established democracies.
