| Description | The purpose of this chapter is to make an introduction to the terminology and methodology of statistical analysis of clinical data with an emphasis on the specifics of molecular medicine. The individual subchapters summarize the basic principles of descriptive and confirmatory analysis, special attention is paid to the validation of molecular markers and outputs of diagnostic tests in general. The chapter also deals with the issue of clinical data collection and their availability in routine clinical practice in brief. |
