Description Graphing skills belong to key components of scientific literacy nowadays. As this complex of skills is influenced (among others) by context in which the graph is used, graphing skills should be practiced not only within mathematics but also in other subjects. Despite this, most of the research focuses on graphing skills at mathematics and much less attention has been devoted to working with graphs at science. Our aim was to test the level of selected graphing skills in chemical context with Czech pupils at the end of lower secondary school and at the end of upper secondary school chemistry education and, at the same time, and try to determine whether there are significant differences in graphing skills, depending on the age and gender of pupils.
