| Description | Work takes a think over intellectual trends of research in Slavistics. It delimitates a role of balkanistics within the framework of Slavistics studies. It draws attention to changes that took place in university mentoring due to disintegration of Yugoslavia. It shows problems being brought by precarious nationalism, present in the environment of former Yugoslavia and interfering even into scholars’ circles. Work draws attention to troubles within the sphere of philology, resulting from disintegration of Serbo-Croatian language unity. Special attention was dedicated also to the trends occurring in literary science, especially in the form of adopting authors, who are of significance for broader literary context, pertinently for more literary environments, in their strict allocation to a single national literary context as well as impeachment their significance within other such environment. In connection with the history of Balkan nations work emphasizes open-minded role of Czech historical Slavistics. |
