| Description | Publication presents a complex analysis of drought in the Czech Lands in past, present and tuture times. Temporal and spatial variability of drought is analysed based on drought indices calculated from temperature, precipitation and hydrological series (instrumental period) on the one hand and after documentary data (pre-instrumental period), oak dendrochronology and with respect to method of remote sensing on the other hand. Elaboration is oriented particularly on analysis of soil moisture, hydrological drought, the most remarkable drought episodes in the past 500 years and in the long-term context on drought chronology derived from documentary, instrumental and oak tree-ring data. Also synoptic causes of drought, climate forcing of drought and changes in land-use with respect to drought in landspace are studied. Separately drought impacts in agriculture, forestry and water management are evaluated. Finally, scenarious of drought in the future, anthropogenically influenced climate are presented with respect to impacts and adaption possibilities in agriculture, forestry and water management. |
