| Description | In 2015 we commemorate 150 years since the presentation of the results of Mendel's experiments dedicated to principles of heredity. One of the activities celebrating this anniversary is “The Week of Human Genetics in Brno” taking place 21st to 26th September 2015. This event consists of: The National Congress of the Society of Medical Genetics and CSL JEP 48th Annual Cytogenetic conference, The Student Scientific Conference for students and young scientists – Biomania and series of lectures “Unveiling the Secrets of the Human Genome” providing new knowledge of Human Genetics for high school students and general public. The highlight of this week is the conference “Mendel’s legacy – Human Genetics from Mendel to the present Day”, which takes place in the Augustinian Abbey in Old Brno, right in the place of Mendel’s research. |
