Description The contribution was devoted to the new legislation of motherhood under the Civil Code in the light of the rights of the child to be registered soon after the birth, the right to know his or her parents and to live with them. Emphasis was put on problems which are connected in practice with surrogacy at home and abroad, especially in countries where it is prohibited. Attention was also paid to the so-called reproductive tourism and the case law of the ECHR in this context.
