Description | Contaminated anatectic pegmatite cuts calc-silicate rock (skarn), which is placed in migmatized amphibolite body at Mirošov in the Moldanubian zone of the Czech Republic. The pegmatite is composed of Pl, Kfs, Q, Amp, Tur and accesory minerals as Ttn, Zrn, Ap, Ep and sulphides. According to the chemical composition of plagioclases An(30-51), amphiboles (magnesiohornblende-ferrohastingsite), tourmaline (oxy-feruvite – it was accepted by Commision on New Minerals as new mineral called lucchesiite with formula CaFe2+3Al6(Si6O18)(BO3)3(OH)3O), and the presence of titanite it is possible to say that pegmatitic melt was contaminated by the host rock. It is reflected in the increased amount of Ca and Fe in the minerals of the pegmatite. Very similar values of An component were found in the pegmatite An(30-51), leucosome An(36-40) from migmatized amphibolites, and also in amphibolite An(35-48).Together with field observation, where leucosome gets more differentiated mineralogically, we can estimate the anatectic origin of this pegmatite. |
