Description | In the Czech Republic, the occurrence of six species of large branchiopods is known from ephemeral field wetlands. Although large branchiopods are protected by law and classified as threatened in the red-data lists, their conservation in wetlands in agricultural landscapes is quite problematic, since it is usually not possible to protect their localities by site protection and, furthermore, they require specific management. |
