Description | The negative effects of the global economic crisis (especially in 2008-2010) were namely observed in the field of industry. Industrial companies had to face a decline in orders and demand for their products. For many companies, therefore, finding the most appropriate combination of anti-crisis measures appeared to be a key task whose realization subsequently reflected in the overall socio-economic situation in the territory. The authors of the text use as an example the South Moravian (Czech Republic) companies of electrotechnical and mechanical and vehicle manufacturing industries to demonstrate that strategic decisions of top management include a wide spectrum of measures adapted to the need to effectively overcome the economic crisis and take into account national, regional and local specificities of the territory in which the companies operate - with different impacts on local economy and labour market. |
