| Description | This report deals with the entirely unsearched subject: The influence of the beginnings of railways on the travel documents. On the basis of archive documents the author analysed the reaction of police and administrative offices, both at central and provincial levels, to the construction of railways, taking the example of the Emperor Ferdinand Northern Railway and its section between Vienna and Brno. |
