| Description | Law reflects existing social conditions and itself causes a variety of social change. Law is the independent and dependent variable of social change in society, it is the cause of social change, but also its effects. Major changes in social situations often enforce change in the existing legislation. On the other hand law acts as a means of promoting of social change, as an instrument of social engineering. |
