Description | Inflammation represents an important part of the pathophysiology of subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH). Major effectors of early response including proinflammatory cytokines and adhesive molecules can contribute to severity of disease. The aim of this study was to determine character of the early inflammatory response in rat brain after subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH). In the group of 55 animals (sham, light SAK ,severe SAK; 4h and 8h after surgery) mRNA expression from brain tissue and serum levels (IL-6, IL-1beta, IL-10, TNF alpha, ICAM1, VCAM1) were measured. |
