| Description | Despite a growing number of elderly patients receiving radiation therapy, little is known about side effects and outcome of irradiation in this section of the population. In this chapter aspects of radiation-biology, technique of radiotherapy as well as side effects radiation therapy of elderly patients are discussed. Age is seldom a contraindication for radiation therapy. The elderly patiens have benefit from modern radiotherapy acess, with reduced side effect of treatment. |
