Description | In the research studies conducted in the Czech Republic we explored the role of dispositional and perceived hope in subjective well-being, quality of interpersonal relationships, perceived level of physical health and other variables. We investigated how positive mindset and hopeful thinking gets reflected in mental and physical well-being in children, students, adults, and old people. Results show that hopeful people as compared with the less hopeful ones, appeared to be more satisfied with life, maintained high-quality interpersonal relationships, perceived their lives as more meaningful, and were also healthier. Hope can serve as significant protective factor of both mental, physical and social well-being. |
