| Description | The article analyses the possibilities which have been granted to an individual in the European Union in order to protect his/her rights. The focus is put on the legal regulation in the EU law with the emphasis on the changes introduced by the Lisbon Treaty. The article aim is to prove the thesis: the Lisbon Treaty has not significantly changed the rights and remedies of an individual within the EU judicial system. In order to prove the thesis, the method of description, analysis and synthesis was used. |
