Description | In this paper we present new records of 54 vascular plant species in the floodplain of the Morava River between the towns of Strážnice and Kunovice in south-eastern Moravia (Czech Republic). These species belong to various groups, including aquatic macrophytes, e.g. Batrachium baudotii, B. rionii and Ceratophyllum submersum, synanthropic species, e.g. Bromus carinatus var. marginatus, Chenopodium vulvaria and Setaria verticilliformis, species of alluvial meadows, e.g. Gratiola officinalis, Viola pumila and V. stagnina, and sub-halophilous species, e.g. Lythrum hyssopifolia, Trifolium fragiferum and Veronica catenata. We also report finds of several species that were not seen in the area for several decades, e.g. Bupleurum rotundifolium, Veronica anagalloides and Xanthium strumarium, and some species that are new for the area, e.g. Cerastium tenoreanum, Crepis setosa and Euphorbia taurinensis. |
