| Description | The skill to search for information in the text belongs to the most important skills necessary for study. The authors of this text have found in their research with more than 400 pupils that pupils of eight-year secondary schools in some cases are not so successful in seeking for information in text as their peers from nine-year elementary schools. This seems to be in conflict with the fact that pupils of eight-year secondary schools are chosen to be more talented for study. The authors discuss this phenomenon and try to find at least some of the reasons. |
