| Description | The identification of cytogenetic imbalance is an important component of clinical genetics. The intent of this article is to review the cytogenetic and molecular cytogenetic techniques currently available for the diagnosis of chromosomal abnormalities in patients with chromosomal diseases and genetic imbalances and to summarize the most efficient and appropriate use of these techniques in clinical practice. |
