Description | The article deals with nominative tickets and fan identification card as tools of security policy against spectator violence in Europe. These are still hotly debated in some of the countries and frequently presented as some sort of panacea in the area of football hooliganism. This occurs despite numerous criticism and the fact that some other countries after having experienced the measures have already abandoned them. The paper thus summarizes the arguments supporting adoption of these measures as well as the statements arguing against them. Based on these data it analyses the effectiveness of these instruments in their fight against (potential) troublemakers in the football stadia and its surroundings. Finally, the measures are evaluated in the context of the situational crime prevention. |
