Description | The term digital document means digitalized historical source but also administrative documents or documents of official apparatus (the future historical sources), already created in digital form. Digitalization of historical sources leads to their easy availability and facilitates positive historical research. Existence of the document in electronic form only may mean in the terms of diplomatics heavy losses, because documents are losing various information, which will be missing in the future during reconstruction of the specific official processes. The concepts completely disappear, the possibility of falsification of documents is increasing. Also maintaining of the digital archives will be much more financially and energetically difficult, then having paper or parchment documents digitalized. |
