Description | Research on the prevalence of psychotherapy integration among practitioners has been usually based on the practitioners’ rating of techniques they use. As a rule, factor analysis of such data has produced factors easily interpretable in terms of traditional theoretical orientations. In this study, however, psychotherapy integration is understood in terms of trans-theoretical principles of change (Goldfried, 1980). An internet-based questionnaire mapping the use of nine change principles will be administered in a national survey of Czech psychotherapists and counselors. Furthermore, the relationship between the use of change principles, the use of therapeutic techniques, and self-identified theoretical orientation will be explored. |
