| Description | In patients with hemodynamic significant aortic stenoses at very high-clinical risk, hemodynamic instability or before an urgent major non-cardiac operation, balloon aortic valvuloplasty (BAV) may be reasonable. Although, the indications for BAV are very limited, this interventional procedure represents additional treatment option to the non-invasive therapy and bridging to the final solution. Careful patients' selection and proper procedural technique are crucial. |
