| Description | The study focuses on the relationships between child temperament, mother´s depression symptoms and maternal self-esteem. Mothers (N=307, age 20 – 45) filled out an online questionnaire. The results showed a mediation effect of the maternal self-esteem on the relationship between depression symptoms and child temperament. Temperament of the child affects maternal depression only very weakly, and only to the extent that it affects maternal self-esteem. |
