| Description | Concern’s ownership and nationalization in chosen states are the main topics of the book. At the beginning, the family background, the history of the company up to the present and the applicable general and constitutional laws of Czechoslovakia and selected states are mentioned. Then, the book shows the progress of the nationalization of the Baťa Concern’s companies in Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Romania and Poland. Furthermore, the situation in Brazil, Italy, and Hungary is analyzed. The book focuses on decisions of the courts in the Netherlands, New York, Delaware and Pennsylvania which had solved the matter of the ownership of the Concern. The issues of the extraterritorial influence of nationalization measures and retribution are also mentioned. |
