Description This article offers an outline of a series of tasks suitable for an introductory lesson of an ESP/EAP course. The tasks are built around students´ perception of the studied subjects and dominant/relevant topics in their fields of study. The teacher gets to know the students both as language learners and experts in their fields which sets the scene for the whole course.
