Description | In the 20th century, massive critical approach to the question of religion occurred. It began with Friedrich Nietzsches questioning of Western conception of religion and god. In philosophy, and especially in phenomenology, this criticism had strong influence on the concept of relation to the Other. Two of most important phenomenologists, Jean-Paul Sartre and Emmanuel Lévinas, had built their philosophy on the presupposition of the secularization. But each of them did it in different way. |
