| Description | The book deals with coronary circulation, from its evolution over coronary physiology and pathophysiology to current imaging techniques both in experimental and human cardiology. Though, broadly available coronary angiography serves as the basic imaging technique in patients with coronary artery disease, this type of imaging represents 5% of the coronary circulation only and suffers several limitations. Currently, there are much more precise techniques for coronary tree assessment regarding vessel and plaque morphology and especially measurement of the coronary physiology and functional significance of the lesions. |
