Description | This conference paper, on the example of generational conflicts in the family environment, deals with a problematic concept of normative „doing gender“, presented by West and Zimmerman. The paper deals with a ways in which women, resort to forms of alternative lifestyles, “doing gender” in their everydayness, which of types of womanhood (that could associated them with their “sex category”) they accept and reject and why. It points out that the women of the second generation do gender in accordance with postmodern time and its values. Such behaviours are the cause of the conflicts with the of generation older women. One of the ways how to overcome crisis of generation conflicts is for the women of the second generation the context of spirituality, where they could develop models of natural womanhood too. |
